What is Wellness?

Wellness is something we don't talk about nearly enough! Let's be real- I didn't even know what it was and how important it was until I was well into college.

That's why I'm sharing wellness with you today and every day I possibly can! So, without further ado, here's our working definition of wellness:

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, wellness is defined as "the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal."

This definition can be extremely multi-faceted. Overall health encapsulates many things, with the two main categories being physical health and mental health. Furthermore, what's good for us one day might be detrimental the next day. Therefore, just like everything else in this life, true wellness is all about striking balance.

Some days, you may need to just veg out on the coach and eat chips while others you're primed and ready to go on a run and eat all the fruits and veggies. Same for mindset! Some days you may be in the zone while others the bare minimum is all you can do.

So, strive for as many days that push you towards your goals as possible, take breaks when you need them, and love yourself through it all 💛
